Troubleshooting
I am having a problem with credit cards not being authorized from my site. What
should I do?
If you are experiencing difficulties with transactions, do the following:
- Make sure your Web site is active and the server is running.
- Make sure the PaymentNet vendor ID and password is entered correctly in your web site
configuration. The vendor ID and password are case sensitive and must be entered in the
same format as when you registered for the PaymentNet service.
- Make sure your Web store application is functioning properly. You may need some
assistance from your developer or ISP to properly test. If you are using a commercial
application, follow the troubleshooting instructions provided by the software vendor.
- Make sure that the PaymentNet server is operational. You can do this by going to the
web-based terminal in the transaction management site and issue a transaction. You can
specify an "Authorization-only" and use the credit card number 4222222222222.
You should receive an authorization decline. If you do not receive a response contact
PaymentNet support at support@PaymentNet.com.
How do I respond to error messages that I am receiving while attempting a
transaction?
Check the Help section of PaymentNet Transaction Manager to understand the types of
error messages that may occur when attempting a transaction.
The system accepted valid Visa, MC and Amex cards but I received an E04 error on
valid Discovery and Diners Club cards. Whats wrong?
You have not been set up by your acquirer to accept these card types. You will need to
work with your acquirer to add these card types to your configuration.
