Internet businesses are using a myriad of technical solutions to build their commerce sites -- from home-grown storefronts built on free Web servers to highly complex commercial solutions that integrate with the business’s legacy order processing and financial systems. PaymentNet’s client application was designed to allow easy integration with this diverse -- and rapidly changing -- set of commerce site applications. Our design has been proven to be successful! PaymentNet’s developer customers have found that the payment client can be integrated into most merchant commerce sites in less than one day.

PaymentNet Client
The PaymentNet client is a small (300Kb) binary executable that is integrated as an application library or executed via a common gateway interface (CGI) script. The client allows greater flexibility in configuration and higher throughput by running as either as web-based (http) or non-web-based application. A Java Native Interface (JNI) PaymentNet client is also available, allowing more robust integration with Internet business back-end systems that are being implemented in Java.

Commerce Solution Integration
To provide the fastest implementation, PaymentNet’s transaction client is available for a broad set of Unix platforms and in a variety of Win 32 platform clients. PaymentNet has also pre-integrated the transaction client with a growing number of popular Internet merchant commerce site creation tools, including Mercantec SoftCart, Microsoft Site Server, Inex Commerce Court, Open Market ShopSite, plus others.

Help in Getting Started
PaymentNet provides all of the tools required to make the Internet business successful -- from test client access through technical support. The transaction client and client documentation can be downloaded and test transactions run at no charge (limited number). PaymentNet’s Developer Partners provide Internet businesses with the technical support to not only integrate transaction processing, but also to create compelling Internet storefronts. Plus, PaymentNet’s technical support organization is available to answer phone and email questions.
