Transaction Security
Transaction security is a fundamental requirement for any transaction processing service provider. PaymentNet has incorporated industry-standard secure methodology in all areas where customer and merchant data are vulnerable. We also provide innovative services that help the Internet business enhance its security implementation.
  • Transactions from Internet businesses using PaymentNet’s client interface to PaymentNet’s transaction servers are protected with the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. The SSL communications capability is built into our transaction client, with all transmissions encrypted.

  • Internet transactions are authenticated by our transaction server via checks of the Internet business’s username, password and Internet server certificate.

  • After logging the transaction at our secure data center, it is sent via private dedicated data circuits to the financial networks.

  • For smaller Internet merchants, PaymentNet’s PayPortal service allows all customer data to be maintained at PaymentNet’s secure operations center, reducing the possibility of security breaches at the merchant site.

Network Security
Network security -- both electronic and physical -- is equally important to transaction security in protecting both Internet consumers and merchants from unauthorized access to transaction information.

  • PaymentNet’s production network is protected with a set of firewalls that prevent any network access to our servers, with sensitive transaction data secured behind internal layered defenses with direct access to transaction databases impossible.

  • Our operations center has strong physical security including card key access, 24x7 video monitoring, and locked equipment cabinets.

  • All connections to financial processors are implemented with dedicated leased lines directly to their secure operations centers.
