announced today the launch of its Preferred
Hosting Partners Program, featuring
PayPortalÔ , a forms-based service for
adding real-time payment authorization and
processing to small commercial Web sites. This
service – the first of its kind from a
transaction processing service provider -- is
offered in a market where roughly 90% of all
commercial Web sites still process payments
off-line using inefficient and time-consuming
phone, fax or email procedures.
Initial Preferred Hosting
Partner Program participants include: Best
Internet/HiWay, AnaServe and DeltaNet (both
Concentric Network companies), NetNation,
Vservers, Sage Networks, and Interland.
Combined, these hosting services will give an
estimated 40,000 commercial Web sites access to
real-time payment processing services at very
low cost and with an ease-of-implementation not
previously available to small Web-based
merchants.
The Preferred Hosting
Partners Program gives hosting partners
integration software, marketing materials,
technical support, Web links, training and
substantial financial incentives for attracting
merchants to the PaymentNet service. PaymentNet
provides all payment processing support directly
to the merchant, significantly reducing
operating costs for Hosting Partners.
PayPortal: The Starting
Point for Real-Time Payment
Processing
All hosting companies in
the Preferred Partners Program have access to
PayPortal. This service adds a powerful tool to
merchants’ arsenals for building
e-commerce revenues with maximum efficiency and
minimum expense. It provides three key benefits
to small merchants:
- Very fast, easy technical
set-up via a Web-based interface.
- Low cost, highly reliable
and secure real-time payment processing service.
- New Internet merchant
account application approval in one to two
business days.
With PayPortal, merchants
who already have an Internet merchant account
can begin processing real-time credit card
payments the same day they register for the
service, simply by filling out forms on the
Web-based interface. The forms generate the
merchant’s secure order form that is
linked to the Merchant Web site and hosted on
dedicated PayPortal commercial transaction
servers. Those without an Internet merchant
account can obtain one in one to two business
days through PaymentNet’s relationship
with Card Services International.
PayPortal is among the
first services of its kind, and the first
offered to small Web merchants by a payment
processing service company through commercial
hosting service providers.
