Of all the vast array of ministries in our Holy Archdiocese, one stands alone as the most vital, not only to the continued development and expansion of our Church, but to its very survival in this country: our beloved School, Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. The School is crucial in the most literal sense of the word: "of the Cross;" it represents the very heart of the Archdiocese, providing trained and educated clergy, theologians, and lay leadership to meet the ever-growing needs of the Church in America.     more ...

SAN FRANCISCO, September 1-4, 2000 -- Over 260 Greek Orthodox Young Adults from throughout the Diocese of San Francisco and the Archdiocese of America gathered here this weekend for the 22nd Annual Diocesan Young Adult League Conference.

The Rev. Dr. John Chryssavgis, Professor of Theology at Hellenic College/Holy Cross in Brookline, Massachusetts delivered the keynote address following the conference theme: "The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few." Matthew 9:37. Workshops followed the keynote address
